Next PVC-Workshop on 9th January 2020

The program for the next joint workshop „PVC and Environment“ of AGPU and PlasticsEurope Germany on 9th January 2020 at the Collegium Leoninum in Bonn is final. For the workshop, we have once again put together a cutting-edge programme. The event will focus on the recently launched European Circular Plastics Alliance (CPA). By mid-November, more than 150 companies and associations from the entire value chain had already joined. At the workshop, Stefan Sommer, Chairman of VinylPlus®, among others, will present the goals, structures and schedule of the alliance. A video statement by the EU Commission DG GROW is also scheduled.

PVC Recycler Meeting with Record Participation

Two weeks ago, the third and last regional meeting in 2019 of our successful event series „PVC recyclers meet PVC converters“ took place. Around 30 recycling experts from the entire PVC value chain visited Hündgen Entsorgung in Swisttal to discuss about recycling and to present their products and services as well as their needs for recycling materials and processes.

The three regional events are organised by AGPU with the support of VinylPlus®, AgPR, Rewindo, IVK Europe and Roofcollect. With a total of almost 90 participants, the established event series has set a new record this year. This shows once again how important the topic is for many companies.

Pharma Blister Recycling Project received Gold Award

At the presentation of the INOVYN Innovation Awards during the K 2019 Trade Fair in Düsseldorf, the initiative of the PVC film industry was honoured with the Gold Award in the category „Sustainability“ for the recycling of pharmaceutical blisters.

The project was coordinated – with the support of VinylPlus® – by the AGPU with the participation of the film manufacturers Bilcare Research and Perlen Packaging. AGPU Managing Director Thomas Hülsmann received the award and thanked the participating companies from the PVC value chain for their commitment.
